Well, 'enforcing one's justice' was actually just the theme of Vesperia and had nothing to do with the title (which comes from the word 'vesper', which is evening in Latin). Unfortunately, they don't cover Berseria but an interesting read. Also yes, the XBONE guys fucked up real bad. Developers are usually very much aware that people will abbreviate the name, and try to think of every possible way that could go wrong for them. I have nothing to do with the Tales of series, but for those curious, yes, I know from personal experience that the initials of your game title very much play a part in vetting the title. Also because the title is structured as a prepositional phrase, it's always a bit off to drop the "Tales of" signifier and just say "Arise" (though people do that).

And if you do a full subtitle you get to have multiple letters to disambiguate. Franchises that went with number have a straightforward signifier. It's a bit of a corner they painted themselves into with the "Tales of" naming convention. I think the point is that so with a bit of context that we're talking about Tales games, writing ToL will lead to someone knowing you mean Tales of Legendia. I doubt it's so much "every letter of the alphabet" and more "the titles should not be obfuscated by initializing them." I mean, same effect, but just to say.
